In 2001 Kinsella was awarded a production grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, and has received seventeen Ontario Arts Council exhibition assistance grants since 1990. In 1995 she was a recipient a the Umberto Ricci Art Foundation, Artists’ Development Award. While at the University of Guelph, Kinsella received the annual juried exhibtion First Prize Sculpture Award, and the University of Guelph, College of Arts Alumni Association Award.
